Richard has been working in the security industry for over 25 years and joined Tyco as part of the Sensormatic acquisition in 2001. Prior to the acquisition by Sensormatic Richard was Joint Managing Director of CEM Systems Ltd who provide advanced access control systems used by most of the airports in the UK. After the acquisition Richard became General Manager for CEM Systems where he worked with Hong Kong International Airport and more recently Delhi Airport as well as all of the major UK airports including BAA on projects such as Heathrow Terminal 5 and Heathrow Terminal 2. He has also worked with major commercial customers such as Barclays Bank and KPMG.
He is currently responsible for Tyco Global Aviation which includes the American Dynamics, CEM Systems, DSC, Software House, and Kantech brands and manages the Proximex brand for the APAC and EMEA regions, advising clients on the benefits of integration platforms with a business environment.
Richard sits on the UK Trade and Investment Airports Advisory Council and is the Chairman for the Security cluster of the British Aviation Group. He has spoken at a number of events on how security systems can be integrated more fully into a business to provide greater operational effectiveness.
