Currently working at KCAA and tasked with the responsibility of Managing ATM Operations at the Air Traffic Services of the Directorate of Air Navigation Services. Was a lead ATM expert in EAC Upper Flight Information Region (EAC – UFIR) whose outcome is expected to see the EAC region have a seamless airspace management structure by 2022.
Prior to joining KCAA, worked with the Directorate of Civil Aviation – Kenya between 1982 and 2002 as an Air Traffic Controller in various stations (Aerodrome, Approach, Area Airways and Radar Control and as a trainer). Attained a Kenyan ATC license in 1985 and has Five Ratings endorsed in (both Procedural and Surveillance Control).
Additionally is a trained Search and Rescue Mission Coordinator and Administrator, Accident Investigator and ATM System Analyst. Trained both locally and abroad at East African School of Aviation and at Singapore Aviation Academy and currently pursuing an MBA (Strategic Management) in Nairobi – Kenya.
