Mr Redemptus P. Bugomola became the Director Safety Regulation, Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority on 1st April 2015.
He joined the Authority in May 2005 as a Senior Personnel Licensing Officer until February 2014 when he was re-categorised to the position of Senior Airworthiness Inspector.
Mr. Bugomola, a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Airframe and Engines), holds a Master of Science Degree in Air transport Management and a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering to ICAO type II (Mechanical).
He has been in the aviation industry for 26 years. His work experience includes working as an Aviation Safety Expert in Mozambique and Zambia between June 2011 and December 2013 helping the States in addressing the findings and recommendations which emanated from the ICAO USOAP Audits. An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Air Tanzania Corporation from 1990 to 2002. A lecturer in Air Transport Management and Technology with the National Institute of Transport from 2003 to 2005. He is also a seasonal part time lecturer in Air Transport Management with the department of Postgraduate Studies at the National Institute of Transport.
